Our Soaps
What makes Ailec soaps different from store-bought bars?
The difference starts with how they're made. Commercial bars are detergent-based — manufactured with harsh synthetic ingredients that strip the skin's natural oils. Ailec bars are true cold-process soaps, made by hand in small batches using natural oils, botanical extracts, and essential oils. Every ingredient is chosen for a specific skin benefit. Your skin can feel the difference after a single wash.
Are your soaps safe for sensitive skin?
Yes — several bars are specifically formulated for sensitive skin, including the Oat Milk Latte Bar (soothing and ultra-gentle) and the Minty Cucumber Glow (anti-inflammatory and calming). All Ailec soaps are free from sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and artificial colorants. If you have a severe allergy, reach out before purchasing and we'll walk you through the full ingredient list.
How long will one bar last?
A 4 oz bar typically lasts 4–6 weeks with daily use. Keep your bar on a well-draining soap dish and allow it to dry completely between uses — this will significantly extend its life.
Do you use any animal-derived ingredients?
Beef tallow we use premium grass-fed beef tallow to create a rich, creamy lather and a long-lasting bar. Naturally rich in skin-loving fatty acids, it helps leave skin feeling soft, nourished, and moisturized. Contact us for a detailed ingredient breakdown.

Skin & Care
Which bar should I use for acne-prone skin?
Our Turmeric Charcoal & Tea Tree Bar is a great choice for acne-prone and oily skin. Activated charcoal helps draw out excess oil and impurities, while tea tree essential oil is known for its clarifying properties. Turmeric helps promote a brighter, more even-looking complexion, leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean. Send us a message for a personal recommendation.
Which bar is best for dry, tight skin?
The Oat and Honey is our most nourishing formula, designed specifically for dry and sensitive skin. The Rosemary Aloe Spa Bar is also deeply hydrating with immediate cellular moisture.
How do I get the best results from my Ailec bar?
Work the bar into a lather between your palms, then apply to skin in gentle circular motions. Leave the lather on for 30–60 seconds before rinsing. Pat dry — never rub. Consistency is everything — most customers see a noticeable difference within 2 weeks.
How should I store my soap bar?
Keep your bar on a well-draining wooden or ceramic soap dish. Avoid leaving it in standing water. Store unused bars in a cool, dry place.
What is the shelf life of the soaps?
Ailec soaps have a natural shelf life of 12 months from the cure date. Each bar cures for 4–6 weeks before packaging — so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy it.
The Making Process
What is cold-process soap-making?
Cold-process combines oils and lye at a controlled temperature, without external heat. This preserves the integrity of natural oils and botanical extracts. It's more time-consuming than commercial methods, but the result is a far superior bar with a rich lather and genuine skin benefits.
Why do your soaps need to cure?
After the cold-process reaction, soap needs to sit for 4–6 weeks to allow excess water to evaporate and the bar to fully harden. This also mellows the pH, making the final bar gentler on skin.
Do you make everything yourself?
Every single bar is made by hand by Ailec — one person, in small batches, in Miami, FL. No outsourcing, no contract manufacturing.
